On the TV show “My-Classic-Car,” a similar vehicle has been shown. But this is not that one. The print on the side looks like Russian and this one looks like it has a very long inline-engine–maybe a straight-8. You can see how the dash extends from windshield to the shotgun door.
The American one I’ve seen on that show used a Ford flathead V8 & was built in the 30s. That engine allowed more room inside for people.
Looks like a variation of the Dymaxion, Buckminster Fuller’s prototype of a rear steering (but the original only had one wheel to steer), front drive car capable of carrying 11 people at speeds up to 120. And this was in the early 40′s! It was supposed to be able to make a u-turn within its’ own length.
You people think I am bullshitting you! Just Google it and find out!
Actually that is a car from the 30s. A VERY small company tried to make their way in the auto industry with this model, so few were sold and even fewer are still around.
This looks like one of those cars that would be fun to own if you had tons of money.
I would hate to drive it day to day though. As far back as the driver sits you would have to have a lot of guts making right hand turns that had bushes out to the corner.
Wow! whatever the hell that thing is it’s Awesome and I really like it a prehistoric mini van of sorts!!!! Looks like something my neighbor would drag home and stack up in his back yard… He always finds cool old one of a kind cars from how knows where….
look at the depth of the dashboard! How can you see anything in front of that thing. they shoulda turned the drivers seat around and made the rear the front, and vice versa.
Damn it… I WANT ONE
interesting, woulda liked a higher res picture to see what it says on the side. Betcha it’s lot inside in the summer.
That looks similar to the car Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) drove in Batman and Robin

That’s pretty cool, although there’s a shit load of glass. Reminds me of an AMC Pacer I had a few years ago.
I’m just saying, I’d take it if you don’t want it…

McQuay-Norris Tear Drop 1934
I’ll second Handlebar’s comments – looks like a 4-wheel version of the Fuller Dymaxion.
Go here and you can see an unretouched version of this very photo and read what someone PSd out…
