    So what’s funny or weird about a classic restored VW van? Notice it’s sitting next to another antique VW van? Probably at a collector rally/show. A few 60′s daisy stickers would be a funny touch… But still, pretty cool! Nice! I’d love to own it.

    Though at least this site hasn’t reached the level of ignorance as that on peopleofwalmart.com, this still ranks up there on the scale. The VW pictured is a split-window, Type II pop-up camper VW and it’s in very good shape. They were made to be used this way. Going by the papers in the front window, this was taken at a VW meet.

    I think this could have originated from the Cleveland Labor Day Oktoberfest. There’s a local VW owner’s group that attends every year. These fine people camp out for the whole weekend, and show off their vehicles. If you’re in the Cleveland, Ohio area over Labor Day Weekend, check these guys out!

    This is either a restored Dormobile or a Devon. Probably goes these days for $25,000. So that wam toilet wine you’re talking about might be Dom Perignon. Ever heard of it?

    Dormobile is the name of the company that produces that particular type of camper conversion. That top is readily identifiable.

    yep. its a dormobile…a UK camper conversion to the VW bus. someone must have specially imported it, the Doormobiles were never sold in the US. sweet bus. looks like it was taken at a Ohio VW meet. looks to be a ’65-’67 from the bumpers. i’d drive that for sure!
