Loki, when is the last time you asked someone from a country that has socialized health care what they actually thought of it ?
Over the years I have worked with quite a number of people from said countries and they all had the same opinion, IT SUCKS !
Yes, healthcare for all sounds good. But in reality the Govt. $$
( our tax $$ ) just never seems to strech far enough.
Sure, if you need E.R. care, you got it. But as far as other care,
you get denied or you wait forever.
I agree, cosmetic surgery is not a “must have”, but there are plenty of other surgerys that go toward making someones health and life better . However, in countries with socialized health care
these procedures are put on hold because there isn’t enough $, or enough Doctors.
So you wait years and years for that knee replacement because it isn’t “life threatening” , meanwhile you limp around in exterme pain, you can’t stand for long periods of time ,meaning you may not be able to do your job and your quality of life sucks.
Ask a citizen of England or Canada what THEY think of socialized
Dude, for the MOST part, anything managed by the government
is mismanaged !
Obama said his plan would save a family $2500 a year in health insurance premiums. Obama’s opponents said premiums would go up. Well, guess what? I’m paying roughly double what I was paying before Obamacare, for much worse coverage. If I didn’t have kids, I’d cancel my health insurance.
I’m an “Amerikan” who lived in England for 2 years in the mid-’90s, and have first-hand experience dealing with their NHS (National Health Service). It was, to use some stereotypical British understatement, not a pleasant experience.
What hubris there is among our soi-disant “leaders” in DC when they histrionically declare that they’re enacting socialist health care laws “for the people.”
