  1. The car is so terrible looking in it’s original form, I consider this a proper upgrade.

  11. I alway thought these little coffins-on-wheels should be called Dumb Cars. With the addition of the donkey ears, this one becomes a dumb-ass car.

  13. The ears make me think it looks more like a jackal than a rabbit. Eh, it’s still cute, and probably used for actual advertising, not that stupid crap on dubs.

  23. The coffins-on-wheels remark about the Smart cars is totally misplaced. I used to assume this, too, seeing as how it just looks like something you’d easily pick up by the fender and throw away.

The truth is, they’re extremely crash-safe. I don’t remember if it was Top Gear I saw a crash test of a Smart car on, but they rammed one at over 50 MPH straight into a concrete block. The side windows weren’t even broken, and they opened easily. No internal cabin damage, no squashed cabin space, but as the presenter dryly remarked, “Not that this would save you in this situation, since your internal organs would pretty much all have burst by being pressed against your rib cage and skull anyway.”

So, not a coffin-on-wheels, but way to damn expensive, even if it is extremely practical in an urban setting.

For that, I’d much prefer the old Fiat 500, anyway. Now THERE’S a coffin on wheels for sure, though! ;)

  25. The Lindt chocolate factory is nearby here in Stratham, NH. We see one of these frequently. And they do look just like the chocolate bunnies they sell at Easter time.

  28. Bartina on January 23rd, 2010
  29. Seriously cute!
And esp. as compared to all of the other weird sh*t vehicles we’ve seen here. I’d eat it!

  31. I’m sorry about my obese wife, guys. She is serious about eating it, though. Taco Bell sign near out house is gone. Guess what happened to it? That’s right, Orca attacked.

  41. There’s a Lindt outlet store in that minimall complex, the Kittery Premium Outlets minimall on Route 1 in Kittery, maine, one *BIG* tourist trap that complex is…

it’s so bad that in the height of tourist season it takes almost a half hour to travel the short stretch of Rte 1 that goes past the KPO

I live about 5 minutes away from this complex, and no, I never go there, nothing of interest for us native Mainers
