I saw this in Miami in like 1990…way cool, and LOUD, too!.
BTW excellent site. Since I am boycotting ICHC for their ridiculous “monetizing” of FailBlog (putting ads in the CONTENT!) I now have somewhere besides thatwillbuffout to see interesting vehicles. I have a couple of good ones that I’ll be sending in soon, good luck to you!
This was parked at the grocery store one time and we pulled into the next lot. As my husband pulled my daughter out of the car, he managed to bump her head into the bottom part of the basket.
So, what is the deal with all these cars with this kinda stuff on ‘em? There seems to be a concentration in the Carolinas & Georgia. Are they getting paid to advertise or what? Am I just getting old? LOL
This is actually a float for parades in and around St. Louis, MO. Schnuck’s is a grocery chain, and also a huge sponsor for a lot of parades in the area. It’s at just about every parade I attend in the area!!
While it is in many parades around the St. Louis area, I’m not sure it should be called a “float”. When I think of a float I think of something covered in flowers that has a top speed of 5mph. With an engine like that, I bet it could go over 100mph!
They had one at the baseball stadium I worked at in North Carolina… So I’m not so sure this should be labeled as ‘One of a kind.’ It was awesome though, they put people in the car and drove around the field
I think there are SEVERAL of these all over the country. I live in NC and have seen at least two different ones, One in Charlotte and one in Hillsborough. The differences in the ones I’ve seen are subtle and noticeable.
I’m not going to lie, but that is freakin awesome!

What a killer way to advertise you you have that much cash in your budget to do so! Beats the method of doing it
“donk”ey style

That… that cannot be legal. Like at all. O.o
Awesome, however.
WOnder how well it handles since its center of gravity looks like it would be rather high off the ground

I saw this thing at the opening of a new grocery store in Lafayette In. in the early 90′s. Cant believe its still around.
yeah, they have this allllll the time at the parade’s in kansas city too. it’s something of an icon in these parts…that and cows.
I saw that in a New Years Eve parade in Austin Texas in 2008
To be fair…they only use that vehicle in parades. It’s from a local grocery store chain here in St. Louis.
Good points!
OuuuYeah. Great idea
Is this the same cart from the Jackass movie?
John Boy of the John Boy and Billy show drove one like this around Bristol Raceway a few years back. GO JOHN BOY!! OHA OHA OHA.
