What and where is this? I am pretty “car smart” and I have never seen anything like this….it looks to well manufactured to be one of those home built jobs…..ah hell….WTF is it? I’d drive it…..
If you read the blog of these people, you would understand they had to have it reinforced this way. Not because of paranoia. See the map on the side? The black marker lines are all the places they’ve visited in it. They have shipped that thing all over the world for the past many years and spend six months per year driving around in it. They live in Johannesburg, South Africa. They were attacked in Africa, and have had their rig held for ransom in Mongolia. When they were in the US they commented that Walmart doesn’t hassle them when they park overnight, one good thing about Walmart! You can read about their adventures and see pictures from all over the world on their blog which can be found here; http://www.landyonline.co.za/off_road/dipli/dilpli_travels.htm It’s been pretty amazing how they’ve chosen to spend their retirement years.

it a landrover 2b forward control from the 60′s or 70′s ….the body seems to be custom made
@ Me!: Oh wow, I can see being attacked in Africa, but held for ransom in Mongolia? Wow. Pretty harsh. Maybe they thought it was a military vehicle (not as though some people in areas of Mongolia have ever seen a car, much less a military vehicle). I think it’s really cool that the owners chose to travel the world like that. It’s sad that so many of their travels must be pretty dangerous. I hope they never go through Detroit. I’d rather blaze through Bosnia.
Straight outa Resident Evil.
The Road Warrior’s RV!!! Cool!!!
thats actually really cool, paranoid but cool!
Nice GPS/Map on the side!
i saw this in the scene of dawn of the dead….it didn’t turn out as well as hoped. but when the zombie apocalypse happens, this guy is ready!
Okay, I want one!
This is an awesome ride! Could sell that in a heartbeat. Bet it’s hell on fuel though!
Does this guy plan on RV’ing in Colombia or something?
