The General Lee..really? In England. You couldn’t get the “Winston Churchill” or “William Shakespeare” paint job?

YEEEEEEE HAW!!!
looks like them Duke boys got themselves into more trouble than a weasle in a hen house…stay tuned…
ENGLAND! REALLY! At least they have good taste
Sweet. There are at least two of these replicas in the area that I live in. One of them even has the correct plate number, which is CNH-320. That’s probably what’s on the plate in this pic, which is needlessly fuzzed out. It’s definitely not a European tag on the front of this car.
Yeah, I liked that show when I was 13, too, but by the time I was able to own a car, I already thought this was a dumb thing to do to a perfectly good 1969 Charger, especially an R/T. Besides, if you like these cars, how could you be so enamored with a show that destroyed so many of them?
The General Lee looks good no matter where he is.
“Them Duke boys think they can jump the pond to get away from Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrain? Enos, get mah passport.”
Gotta be in England, that front bumper add-on wasn’t on the original…
@ mike
you mean the cop car style push bar? the general lee always had one, my model has one. id love to have a real general lee but i dont have the money nor the knowhow to keep a muscle car running you have to pretty mechanical minded to keep these things running they do require attention.
Doesn’t matter what country that car is in…….still cool.
The car could still have an European tag on it. If you have an American spec car with American style license plate holder they make American size plates for your car. When we lived in England with our American cars we had European plates on them. I think I actually remember seeing one of these cars around when we lived there.
This car should jump all of you!
If you got the money, you can get any car you want over there. Oh and @ Mike, The General ALWAYS had the push bar on the front in the show.
Good taste is right.
At least there is one more ’68 saved from the scrap heap.
The Dukes single handed, destroyed more Chargers than drunk drivers. Hopefully, it’s not a kit.
Guys, the Generals used in the show weren’t real R/Ts, in fact there were a mix of 68′s and 69′s used on the show. And you gotta remember, the show was filmed when 68 and 69 chargers were EVERYWHERE. Granted, a lot of them were destroyed, and that makes Mopar guys, and car guys like me in general, sad, but the General Lee is the single most recognizable car in history…
How do we even know its a legit “R/T” quit being so damn gullible you guys. what if it was some hammered shit Charger that some English guy painstakingly restored. theres enough friggin “restoqueens” let the guy have his dream TV car.
