What do you mean I wasn’t accepted to art school? Don’t those a#$holes know what abstract means. I mean… I could draw a proportional face if I wanted to do.

  1. Omg The art work is awesome! But And I say but! Why would you trash a V12 BMW 850I 6 speed, 0 to 100 km in 6.5 seconds? That car is awesome i think this car came out way before it’s time!

  5. There is tradition of BMW art cars the owner may be trying to emulate.

  9. This is actually a reproduction of the BMW “Art Cars” that were started in the 70s. Famous artists such as Andy Warhol and David Hockney painted different BMWs so they became “works of art”. This is an attempt to recreate Sandro Chia’s 3 Series that was done in 1992 onto an 8 series.

  13. That’s an 8-series BMW! That car cost more than $100,000 when it came out and that was almost 20 years ago. An expensive canvas …

  15. WAL-FART OR NOT…. HOW DO YOU DO THIS TO A BMW 850i????

  21. Um, that’s actually quite good. Oh, sorry, this is an asshole blog, so let me rephrase that accordingly: “Arf arf arf mykidcoulddothat LOL @ shit I don’t understand.”

  23. wow sick car. old school bmw m1, bad ass fuckin car! andy warhol used one as a canvas, and sadly, this car shown here is 10x better lookng!

  25. It looks like they were trying to duplicate one of the BMW art cars. The real ones are far too valuable to be parked outside a Wal Mart… and none would sport a German tourist temporary license plate in front.

  27. This is a BMW art car -
    http://www.bmwdrives.com/bmw-artcars.php

Weird though, it looks like Sandro Chia’s design, but it is the wrong car…

  31. That appears to be a very late model Beemer under that paint job, perhaps a European only model…

  32. Mike on January 27th, 2010
  33. Pretty cool paint job!

  34. Peter on January 27th, 2010
  35. A BMW 850i disgraced. I’d ALMOST rather drive the truck with the outhouse in back. Almost.

  36. Michael Thiebaud on January 27th, 2010
  37. Such a wastes of a BMW 850–gorgeous car when not destroyed by creepy art

  38. Ron on January 27th, 2010
  39. It could be worse. Instead of the painted artwork, they could have a shitload of stuffed animals glued all over it. Personally, I like it. To my knowledge, no car, regardless of price sticker, does not come with a clause stating that it has to be kept fully stock.
PS – It could be much, much worse. Someone could have put 24″ wheels on it, then had it painted with a product theme, such as a candy bar or other munchies.

  41. rk….you defined this site with your opinion. You fit right in. Welcome, asshole. Only an extreme few would look at what you construe as art and say it is “quite good.” Of those few, most would only agree that is quite good to fit in with the rest of the mindless drone bourgeois idiots such as yourself. The rest of us that can think for ourselves see a clearly poor choice has been made by wasting a very beautiful car that did not need an artistic rendition of; the art here has been covered with mindless abandon.

  42. GOTTCHA! on January 28th, 2010
  43. “That appears to be a very late model Beemer under that paint job, perhaps a European only model…”

@Mike: No… Chia’s design was on an E36 3-series racecar. Plenty came here, but E36 production ended in 1999.

  45. Yes this a german license plate from Munich Karnivour. To be specific this is a export plate.

  46. Poultrywrangler on January 28th, 2010
  47. The real Von Dutch (Ken Howard- not the brand name) wigged out the auto establishment with the sploosh painted Mercedes 300AL Gullwing in the late 1950s. Story was that the car had either bad bodywork or rust out so he applied a lower body paint of a pink or red to cover it. It was the lowest form of sacrilege to those in the main stream of that era…

  48. econobiker on January 28th, 2010
  49. This obviously is a replica or derivative work of an original BMW Art Car.
The Original was an 1992 3series Race Car painted by Sandro Chia.
    See more Art cars:
    http://www.7-forum.com/artcars/

License plate is a temporary registration plate (for Export) from Munich.

    Greetings from Bavaria!
